We had the privilege of joining GiveOUT Day 2026, a period of charitable giving where donations are MATCHED by the Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust: $2 became $4, $25 became $50 and so on. Through GiveOUT Day, our allies and supporters essentially double their impact and support many rainbow organisations across Aotearoa!
To sweeten the pot this year, our Community Engagement team worked hard on our GiveOUT Day Giveaway which featured a stunning catalogue of vouchers and tickets from local businesses, helping RainbowYOUTH raise over $2,500. This money goes towards our delivery of 1:1 peer support & events for rangatahi in their communities, as well as our continued work to uplift a sense of community and connection for queer, gender diverse, Takatāpui, and MVPFAFF+ youth in Aotearoa.
We are so proud of this community and thank everyone who either donated or shared our campaign with sweet messages of support. We are grateful to Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust for the amazing opportunity, and we are grateful to our allies and local businesses who supported our giveaway: KiwiBank, Colleen, New World Metro Queen Street, Madmen, Rainbow Republic, Carmen Jones, Recycle Boutique (Ghuznee St, Newmarket, and New Plymouth), Crushes, and Poppies New Plymouth.
