What is a RY member?
RY members are Rainbow people living in Aotearoa, New Zealand who support RainbowYOUTH’s kaupapa. Membership categories include full, associate, and life members based on age and contribution. The RY members are responsible for attending our AGMs and electing the executive board as well as raise any ideas and concerns they have
Who can join?
At the 2025 SGM, we have opened up membership to be held by Rainbow people* of any age through an associate membership (27+ years), and full membership (16-27 years).
*definition and use of Rainbow is to be expanded and changed at AGM
How to apply:
To become a member, fill out the form below! You will receive a confirmation email once your membership is approved.

As a member, you’re invited to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM), where you’ll have the right to vote for our executive board - the people who help guide our organisation and represent your needs. You can attend virtually or in person at your local RY centre watch party!
