SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:
Leadership experience in community, NGO or social sector environments
A highly adaptable and flexible approach, and a proven ability to operate in uncertainty and in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
People management experience
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing online and offline fundraising/marketing campaigns.
Comprehensive understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Commitment to equity, social justice and youth development
Desirable:
Lived experience as part of rainbow, takatāpui or MVPFAFF+ communities
Experience with governance, Boards, or other methods of governing
Background in youth work, social services, education or policy
Experience in Te Tiriti-based organisational change
Experience in media response, crisis management or public communications

As the Engagement and Operations Manager of RainbowYOUTH you will be a core part of the Senior Leadership Team, and support leading an organisation with a 30+ year legacy of advocacy and empowerment.
You will be responsible for managing RainbowYOUTH’s engagements and communications across our wider communities and key stakeholders, and lead the delivery of our fundraising and partnerships growth. Alongside the Kaiwhakahaere Matua | Director, you will support the day to day operational management of the organisation.
Some domestic travel is expected. Hybrid work options are available.
