Talk to a rainbow support worker.

Peer Support involves meeting one-on-one with a support worker either in person, virtually or over the phone. We provide strength-based peer support that considers hauora, resilience, cultural identities & individual journeys.

Please Note: Rainbow Youth is not a housing provider, and we cannot directly provide accommodation. Our Housing Support Worker provides information, pathways and advocacy to LGBTQIA+ young people looking for safe and stable housing.

What we offer:

Our Housing support worker, in partnership with other organizations and communities works to provide support for queer, gender diverse, takatāpui & intersex young people who are at risk of, or who are experiencing housing insecurities (this includes living in unsafe environments).

Who we offer it to

  • 13-27 year old’s living in Auckland

  • Anyone facing housing insecurity eg: Couch Surfing, Streets & Parks, Cars, Precarious Housing (Motels & Hostels), Garages/Sheds, Shelters/Services

Examples of things we help with:

  • Accessing Work and Income benefits

  • Accessing safe and supportive housing

  • Accessing emergency housing services

We have a range of resources available around gender, sexuality, parents, and much more. We also run social groups around the country which you can check out here!
