Coastal4Pride is a Ōpunake-based group run by three trained volunteer facilitators: Caitlin (she/her), Jaunté (she/her), and Teague (he/him), who are very passionate about supporting other young queer people in our community. Our group is relaxed, and we usually share some kai, play board games, and watch shows in a fun and welcoming space, accompanied by our little guys Tchraunchner, Ralph, and Buddy. New faces will always be welcome here! Coastal4Pride has a few rules: no swearing, no fighting, be careful with food and drink, come to facilitators with any issues, be kind, and have fun!

  • WHO: High school aged young people who identify as LGBTIQ+ or MVPFAFF+

  • WHERE: Sinclair Electrical and Refrigeration Events Centre, 156 Tasman Street, Ōpunake

  • WHEN: 4.30pm - 6.30pm Monday, fortnightly

It’s important to follow our groups’ social media to stay aware of any cancellations or change of venue. Click on the images below to access our Instagram!
