Just a quick heads up to say Rainbow Youth has a new board!
On Saturday we said goodbye to chair John Kingi and welcomed in Duncan Matthews as the new chairman of RY for 2012/2013. It’s an exciting time for the board with six new members joining the ranks but also a bit of a sad time as we farewell several other members. Thanks to John, Jess Williams, Katija Vlatkovich and Andrew Grear for their countless hours of hard work during the past few years.
Saturday’s AGM was also a chance to reflect on the amazing work the board and staff team have put in over the last year. It’s been a busy 12 months which culminated with the WTF launch in May. This campaign has truly proven the strength, resilience and creativity of our fabulous community at a time when innovation is essential to the survival of organisations in the not-f0r-profit sector. We’ve had around 100,000 views on the video created by our administrator Sam Shore and Sam Orchard – formerly from OUTLine, and have also managed to establish sources of sustainable funds through an online fundraising drive via the WTF website. Keep an eye out for the community launch of WTF which is coming in August, exciting!
We’ve also been focusing on education and are currently involved in a project to evaluate our educations effectiveness. For more about what we’ve been up to full AGM reports will be available soon.
Keep an eye on the website for more info about the new board.
